Annie
Annie was born in the Johannesburg Hospital early in the summer of 2003. She was born with numerous congenital abnormalities and required supplemental oxygen. Her mother was unable to care for her when she was discharged at 3 months old, as she lived in an informal settlement without electricity supply. The hospital requested that we assist in looking after her.
Three weeks after joining us at TLC Annie passed away as a result of complications related to her gastrostomy operation.
