Ffloyd
Ffloyd and his twin sister Barbara-Anne were born prematurely in the Johannesburg Hospital to an HIV-positive mommy, in the summer of 2005. When they were three weeks old and ready to be discharged the twins mommy could not be found and they joined us at TLC.
Ffloyd did not thrive, and when he was six weeks old he contracted a chest infection that his compromised immune system was unable to fight. He passed away in hospital three weeks after joining us, after a heroic, but futile, battle.
In the meantime we had managed to trace the family, and Barbara-Anne was returned to her family a month later.
