Qiana
Mbali was born in the summer of 2004. She was born prematurely in the Natalspruit hospital east of Johannesburg. Her mother felt that she would be unable to care for her as she already had two older children. She requested that a forever family be found for her youngest daughter, and Qiana came to TLC when she was ready tobe discharged, fourteen weeks after she was born.
Subsequently it was discovered that Qiana was HIV positive. Six weeks later Qiana passed away peacefully in hospital as a result of an HIV related infection.
