Thabiso
Thabiso was born very prematurely in the summer of 2004. He was born at 24 weeks gestation (16 weeks early), he weighed slightly over 1 kilogram. At four months old, the hospital felt that he should be discharged. However his mother felt that she would not be able to look after him, so they requested our assistance. Thabiso weighed 1.7 kilograms by this time and was still dependant on supplemental oxygen.
Thabiso continued to struggle, but three and a half months after coming to TLC, he passed away in hospital following a lengthy illness.
